I'm Kathy Collison, and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator located in Apex, North Carolina.
Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone put together that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.
I started stamping almost immediately out of college. I took a class at AC Moore and was hooked. My sister introduced me to Stampin’ Up! in 1997, and my world changed. I love Stampin’ Up!’s color coordination amongst the paper, inks, and embellishments. Their artwork covers every occasion and mood.
When I’m not stamping, I work full time as a Senior Program Director in the pharmaceutical industry. I juggle work and creativity along with my family life. I am a busy mom of two teen daughters. When my girls were younger, stamping and scrapbooking were activities I could do at home while they napped. Then I put my project management skills to work when it came time to plan their birthday parties. From event planning to craft planning (invitations, thank you notes, party favors and activities), I have found so much joy in creating special gatherings to celebrate people.
